We Are Here for You
Kennedy's mom asked to keep her thank you short, then rewrote it many times.

A short note that took a long time
When we asked families for a few words we could share, Kennedy's mom asked to keep hers short. She rewrote it many times. This is what she sent:
"Lisa and OSA family, you have been such a great blessing to Kennedy and I and I just want to thank you for being the People who said 'We are here for you.'"

What being there looks like
For most of our families it looks like a phone call from us, a flyer going out to more than a hundred schools, a month of cards arriving, and a team at the door with the cards, the gifts and a $500 check.
It also looks like a card table at a festival, a school dance off, and a sponsor who adopts the whole family at Christmas.
